Service Advisor

We are looking for a Service Advisor Assistant who has a great personality and is excellent at customer service. Must have some automotive knowledge. Must be able to greet guests, schedule appointments and act as a liaison between customers and service techs. If you can make customers feel welcome and confident that their needs are being met, then our automotive shop may be your next career home. Great opportunity for someone with great people skills and has some automotive knowledge. 

Automotive Experience is a plus.

Job Responsibilities You Will

 

  • Proven experience in automotive sales or as a Service Advisor is preferred.

  • Some knowledge of automotive diagnostics, repair processes, and vehicle maintenance.

  • Familiarity with cash handling procedures and point-of-sale systems.

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain information clearly to customers.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

  • A background in automotive repair is a plus.

  • Greet service department customers promptly and courteously—attitude is everything!

  • When needed, assisting in selling repairs and services to customers or vendors under the guidance of a Service Advisor

  • Answer phone calls

  • Notify customers when vehicles are ready for pick up

  • Schedule customers

  • Collect payment

  • Call backs

  • Reply to customer text messages

Training will Include

  • Listen to customers and clearly translate repair needs to techs

  • Upsell additional services using low pressure, high integrity methods

  • Provide accurate repair/maintenance estimates

  • Listen to customers and clearly translate repair needs to techs

  • Adhere to policies on vehicle care and operation

  • Follow up on each repair and keep customers informed of progress

  • Sell and manage extended warranties

  • Review and explain repairs and associated costs with customers

  • Handle minor customer concerns and complaints

Keep Service Manager informed of all problems and potential 

 

Compensation

$16-$18 per hour
